Designed and completed by St. Louis’ own Third Degree Glass Factory, Scape’s beautiful hand-blown glass chandelier, titled “The Fountain” to reflect the historic Maryland Plaza fountain, is truly an example of glass art at its finest. Its design and installation was no easy feat.

When The Cup opened as St. Louis, Missouri’s first gourmet cupcake bakery in 2007, St. Louisans let out a collective, sugary squeal of delight. Local dessert lovers already knew about The Cup’s sister store, The Cakery, which has been creating custom designed confections since 2005. From the initial launch of The Cup in the Central West End, this beloved cupcakery has been providing award-winning cupcakes (along with cookies and exceptional Kaldi’s Coffee) to the area’s most discriminating dessert fans. Inside the Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta Hotel, the Preston is named appropriately after the building’s original creator, Preston J. Bradshaw.
