Central West End resident Kelly Waters has spent most of her life on the East Coast, but she's fallen in love with St. Louis.

The New York native, who has moved to the Central West End (CWE) twice, has become one of the neighborhood's biggest advocates in her new role as president of the Central West End Association. It's a perfect fit for the entrepreneur who is passionate about all things CWE.

"I love St. Louis, particularly the Central West End," she said. "I'm a total convert. It's got everything you want – a social and cultural scene, a fabulous food scene, great housing – and people are very friendly so it's easy to meet people and make friends."

Waters and her husband Jack first moved to the Central West End in 2006 when his job at Boeing brought them to St. Louis. The couple loved the area and wanted to stay, but a year later his job took them to Chicago.

"When he had the opportunity to come back in late 2011, we jumped at the chance," said Waters.
