Wednesday, June 15 | Doors Open 6:00 PM | Event at 6:30 PM | $5
Chess champion, artist, and author Jennifer Shahade will explore memorable moves and significant squares on the chess board and how they relate to the work of artist Tom Hackney and Corresponding Squares: Painting the Chess Games of Marcel Duchamp. Shahade and Hackney have both been inspired by the chess games of Marcel Duchamp, each producing remarkably diverse responses to Marcel Duchamp vs. E.H. Smith, Hyéres, 1928 through art.
Join us for a lively discussion of chess, art, patterns and processes while discovering the range of emotions conjured up by the grid.
Admission is free.
