World Chess Hall of Fame: Sip, Sketch, and Socialize Wednesday, April 6

Join The World Chess Hall of Fame (WCHOF) and artists Juan William Chavez and Kiersten Torrez as we explore meditative drawing using traditional inks and tools.

Together Chavez and Torrez run Northside Workshop, a non-profit art space dedicated to addressing cultural, community, and sustainability issues in North Saint Louis. The two will lead participants as they create drawings based on Ladies Knight: A Female Perspective on Chess. Through the use of ink techniques, guests will depict a variety of chess pieces while practicing observation, flow, and mindfulness. Relax, recharge, and create with two innovative local artists and teachers.
