Is the CWE House & Garden Tour open to the public?

Yes, the tour is open to the public but the purchase of a ticket is required.

 

Where are the featured homes and gardens?

The 2015 House and Garden Tour will feature seven homes and multiple gardens of the private street of Pershing Place.

 

When is the House & Garden Tour?

The 2015 House & Garden Tour is scheduled for May 29 through May 31, 2015.

Friday, May 29…6pm – 9pm (Preview Party)

Saturday, May 30…10am to 4pm

Sunday, May 31…Noon to 4pm

 

What is the Opening Night Preview Party?

The opportunity to experience the House & Garden Tour in a more intimate setting. The evening includes a party hosted in one of the homes on the tour with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, entertainment and special gift. Party is limited to 200 guests.

Parking for Preview Party

Guests driving to the Friday night event may valet park their car at Sub Zero Vodka Bar located at 308 N. Euclid. Valet parking is complimentary but we recommend tipping the valet attendant. When returning to Sub Zero to pick up your car, please show your Preview Party ticket to receive the complimentary parking.

 

How much does the Weekend House Tour cost?

Advance tickets are $22 per person (via the CWEA, Left Bank Books and Pulaski Bank). Tickets may also be purchased on-site at the tour. Walk ups are $25 per person and are available at the registration tent located at the entrance of Pershing Place, east side of Euclid.

Group Tickets prices are also available for $20 per ticket (for parties of 20 people) and $18 per ticket for (parties of 30 people).

 

Where can I purchase tickets?

Preview Party tickets are available online at www.thecwe.org or by calling the CWEA at 314.367.2220. Tickets for the Friday night party are $75. Space is limited to 200 guests. Order tickets soon.

Weekend House Tour tickets may be purchased in advance for $22. Please contact the  CWEA. Tickets will be on sale at Left Bank Books* (399 N. Euclid) or any St. Louis Pulaski Bank* branch soon!

Walk ups are also welcomed and cost $25 per person. Stop by the CWEA registration booth located at the entrance of Pershing Place and Euclid, east side of street.

 

Where do I park for the Weekend House Tour?

All attendees of the Weekend House Tour are to use the complimentary parking located on the Washington University campus – Lot 4. Access the lot by taking Forest Park Parkway and turning on to Hoyt. Parking is permitted in yellow zones only.

Parking is prohibited on the private street of Pershing Place.

 

What is the shuttle schedule?

Shuttles, with CWE House Tour signage, will be transporting attendees who park on the Washington University lot to the tour on Pershing Place. After guests have finished the tour an, the shuttles will transport attendees back to their cars. Shuttle takes about 5 minutes between tour and parking lot.

Shuttles are complimentary and run the following times.

Saturday…10am to 4:15pm (last shuttle departs Pershing Place at 4:15pm)

Sunday…  Noon to 4:15pm (last shuttle departs Pershing Place at 4:15pm)

 

Do I need to stop by the registration tent?

Only if you need to pick up tickets purchased online/phone or you need to purchase tickets.

 

How long does the tour take?

On average approximately two to three hours.

 

Are there stairs to climb?

Yes, some tour homes will feature multiple levels and will require taking stairs to view them.

 

 

 

May I take photographs?

Photography is not permitted with cameras or smart phones inside the House Tour homes or of the gardens.

 

Do I have to wear booties over my shoes?

Yes, these are private homes and the utmost care is taken to prevent damage to property. Booties are provided complimentary to all attendees and must be worn over shoes or socks while touring inside every home. Booties are to be removed immediately upon exiting the home and placed back on shoe when entering another home. Booties are available at the entrance of each of the homes.

 

Can I buy water?

Yes, water bottles will be available for purchase at the CWEA registration tent.

 

What are the ticket prices?

Opening Night Preview Party – $75 per person

Weekend House Tour (Advance Tickets) – $22

Weekend House Tour (Day of Tickets) – $25

Group Tickets (parties of 20 or more) – $20 per ticket

Group Tickets (parties of 30 or more) — $18 per ticket

What else should I know…House & Garden Tour guidelines.

• Courteous behavior is mandatory.

• Access is not permitted in areas inside the homes and gardens that are stanchioned off, closed off by ribbons and or closed doors.

• No eating, drinking or smoking is allowed in the House Tour homes.

• Photography is not permitted inside the homes or of the gardens.

• Umbrellas, baby strollers and the like will be left outside the front door.

• Booties will be worn over all shoes while inside the House Tour homes.

• Children age 5 and younger will be admitted for free. Infants, toddlers and small children will be carried by an adult. Children age 6 and older must have a paid ticket and be accompanied in hand by an adult.

• Phones and bathrooms in the House Tour homes are not available for the public to use. Porta-potties are available on the street if needed.

 

Will the tour be canceled if it rains?

Absolutely not. The tour will happen rain or shine. Just dress for the weather and bring an umbrellas.

 

After I’ve completed the tour can I walk over to the business district to shop and grab lunch?

Yes, tour goers are invited to stay in the CWE to enjoy the beautiful tree lined streets with many al fresco dining options and galleries and boutique shops. Visit cwescene.com for more information. Maps of the business district will be available at the House Tour registration tent.

Be sure to return no later than 4:00pm to catch the shuttle.
