The Truth About Crime in STL

Sarah Wickenhauser, deputy director of the Neighborhood Security Initiative, has shared a compelling new video that cuts through the myths about St. Louis’ crime rates.

Produced and researched by The St. Louis Convention and Visitor’s Commission, St. Louis Civic Pride Foundation, the St. Louis Regional Chamber and the Partnership for Downtown St. Louis, Wickenhauser says it presents the truth about misleading St. Louis crime stats.

“The NSI would like to send a big thank you to all who researched and produced this video,” she said. “We would also like to thank local law enforcement. Crime in St. Louis City continues to decrease and has dropped by 46 percent since 2006, according to the St. Louis Metro Police Department.”
