On Monday, January 27th the City of St. Louis Preservation Board granted preliminary approval to Opus’s 12-story mixed use building planned for the Heart Association site at the northeast corner of Lindell and Euclid. Preliminary approval means that Opus will be allowed to continue with the design process, with final approval subject to a follow-up review of the design and materials by the city’s Cultural Resources Office.
At the meeting, the CWEA’s Planning and Development Committee made a presentation summarizing its work with Opus over the past few months and asking that approval of the project be delayed until issues regarding parking and traffic circulation could be addressed. While the Preservation Board did not grant the request, the Planning and Development Committee will continue to work with Opus as they finalize their designs for the building.
